BloomBridge wants every family to be able to care for a loved one’s grave through this website, including people who browse with screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or reduced motion. Many of the people we serve are older, far from the cemetery, or grieving, and the site should never be one more thing in the way.
Our standard
This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Measures currently in place include:
- Text and background colors chosen to meet AA contrast requirements
- Full keyboard operability, including the menu, with a skip-to-content link on every page
- Landmarks, headings, and labels for screen readers, and alt text on images
- Respect for your system’s reduced-motion preference
- Layouts that work with browser zoom and large text settings
- Photo confirmations that are sent by email, so a delivery can be verified without using the site at all
