California has more cemeteries, and more families far from them, than any other state: Forest Lawn in Glendale, Hollywood Forever, the great cemeteries of Colma below San Francisco, Fort Rosecrans on Point Loma, and national cemeteries at Riverside, San Bruno, Miramar, Bakersfield and Sacramento. Our Runners cover the length of the state, from San Diego to the far north.

West of the mountains the rain does the work: mild, wet winters and dry summers. East of them it is high desert. Every arrangement is hand-crafted in outdoor silk so it stands up to both. National cemeteries in California

The California cemetery calendar

What holds up, and when the grounds crews clear, in this climate.

Spring (March to May)

Wet and green. The spring clean-up lands in March or April; Easter and Mother's Day deliveries placed after it stay through summer.

Summer (June to September)

Dry and bright, with weekly mowing. Flowers belong in the vase or on the stone; lighter silk colors fade slowest inland.

Fall (October to November)

Rain returns. Mums and harvest colors for Thanksgiving; many cemeteries clear in November, so deliver after.

Winter (December to February)

Wet and mild on the coast, snow inland. Silk shrugs off the rain; a saddle keeps flowers above standing water and snow.

Do you deliver to any cemetery in California?

Can you place silk flowers at Bakersfield National Cemetery?

How long do the flowers last in California?

A silk arrangement lasts a season or more through rain and summer sun. Fresh flowers last a few days.

A photo of the arrangement at the headstone is emailed to you after every delivery and added to the memorial page for the family.
