The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl in Honolulu holds tens of thousands of veterans; Oahu Cemetery, the Valley of the Temples on the windward side, and the churchyards and memorial parks of Maui, Kauai and the Big Island hold everyone else.

The weather at a grave here is the same all year: sun, trade winds and passing showers. National cemeteries in Hawaii

Fresh flowers are welcome at a national cemetery any day of the year. Silk arrangements are placed in the permitted windows: the winter months and about ten days either side of Easter, Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Your Runner follows each cemetery's posted dates.

Memorial Day

The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific and the veterans cemeteries fill with lei and flags. Deliveries placed the week before are there for it.

Holidays

Holiday arrangements placed in early December hold through New Year without the frost worries of the mainland.
