Illinois has Chicago's great Victorian cemeteries, Graceland, Rosehill and Oak Woods, and eight national cemeteries, from Abraham Lincoln National in Elwood to Camp Butler in Springfield, Rock Island, Mound City, Alton, Quincy and Danville. Downstate church and county cemeteries hold most of the rest.

Cold winters, hot summers and a mowing season that runs from April to October. Every arrangement is hand-crafted in outdoor silk so it survives both extremes. Artificial flowers will be permitted on graves during periods when their presence will not interfere with grounds maintenance.

Spring (April to May)

The spring clean-up comes in April once the ground thaws. Easter, Mother's Day and Memorial Day deliveries placed after it stay through summer.

Summer (June to September)

Hot, humid and mowed weekly. Flowers belong in the vase or on the stone; lighter silk colors fade slowest in full sun.

Fall (October to November)

Mums and harvest colors for Thanksgiving. Many cemeteries clear in late October or November before snow; deliver after.

Winter (December to March)

Snow and hard freezes. Turning vases are stored; a saddle or an evergreen arrangement against the stone stays above the snow. Silk does not mind the cold.

Do you deliver to any cemetery in Illinois?

Yes. City, county, church, private memorial parks and the veterans cemeteries. Give us the cemetery name and the name on the headstone; a Find a Grave link helps the Runner find the grave.

Can you place silk flowers at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery?

In the permitted windows: roughly mid-October through mid-April and about ten days either side of Easter, Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Fresh flowers are welcome any day. Your Runner follows the posted dates.

How long do the flowers last in Illinois?

A silk arrangement lasts from the spring clean-up to the fall one, through heat and frost. Fresh flowers last days.

Will I know the flowers were placed?

A photo of the arrangement at the headstone is emailed to you after every delivery and added to the memorial page for the family.
