Desert sun is the main thing at a grave here: it fades color faster than anywhere else in the country. Every arrangement is hand-crafted in UV-resistant outdoor silk, and lighter colors last longest. National cemeteries in New Mexico
Fresh flowers are welcome at a national cemetery any day of the year. Silk arrangements are placed in the permitted windows: the winter months and about ten days either side of Easter, Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Your Runner follows each cemetery's posted dates.

Spring (February to April)
The best season at the grave: mild, bright and busy with Easter and Mother's Day visits. Cemeteries do their main clean-up around March.
Summer (May to September)
Extreme heat and sun. Fresh flowers last hours; silk in whites, yellows and blues fades slowest. Runners deliver early in the day.
Fall (October to November)
Temperatures ease and cemeteries fill again. Mums and harvest colors for Thanksgiving hold well in the dry air.
Winter (December to January)
Mild and sunny. Holiday arrangements last well into the new year; national cemeteries are inside their silk window.
