North Carolina's cemeteries run from Oakwood in Raleigh and Elmwood in Charlotte to the mountain churchyards of the west and the coastal towns, with national cemeteries at Salisbury, Raleigh, New Bern and Wilmington. The state's growth brought families in from everywhere, and sent its own children everywhere else.

Summers are hot, winters are short, and the mowing season runs from March to November. Every arrangement is hand-crafted in outdoor silk so it stays in place between visits. Spring (March to May)

The spring clean-up lands in March. Easter and Mother's Day deliveries placed after it stay for months. Pollen season coats everything; a rinse restores a silk arrangement.

Summer (June to September)

Hot and humid. Fresh flowers last a day or two; silk in lighter colors fades slowest. Weekly mowing means flowers belong in the vase or on the stone.

Fall (October to November)

The best-looking months in a Southern cemetery. Mums and harvest colors for Thanksgiving; deliver after the October clean-up.

Winter (December to February)

Mild, with an occasional freeze. Holiday arrangements placed in early December hold through New Year; national cemeteries are inside their silk window all winter.

Do you deliver to any cemetery in North Carolina?

Yes. City, county, church, private memorial parks and the veterans cemeteries. Give us the cemetery name and the name on the headstone; a Find a Grave link helps the Runner find the grave.

Can you place silk flowers at New Bern National Cemetery?

In the permitted windows: roughly mid-October through mid-April and about ten days either side of Easter, Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Fresh flowers are welcome any day. Your Runner follows the posted dates.

How long do the flowers last in North Carolina?

A silk arrangement placed in spring is still in place and in color at the end of summer. Lighter colors fade slowest in full sun.

Will I know the flowers were placed?

A photo of the arrangement at the headstone is emailed to you after every delivery and added to the memorial page for the family.
