Find a Grave News: "Connecting with Those Who Served"
Find a Grave told the story of a daughter on active duty who sent flowers to her veteran father's grave through BloomBridge, and the Runner, a veteran herself, who brought her Vietnam-veteran father along to place them.
In May 2024, Find a Grave published Connecting with those who served, a story about one BloomBridge delivery that meant something on both ends.
The order
Carmen Stallings was on active duty, far from where her late father, Eladio Jusino, a veteran, is buried. She could not get to his grave, so she found BloomBridge through the Find a Grave partnership and sent flowers instead.
The delivery
The Runner who took the order, Veronica Arquette, is a veteran too. When she saw the flowers were for a veteran's grave, she asked her father, Marty Arquette, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam era, to come with her. They placed the arrangement together and paid their respects, and the photo went back to Carmen.
That is the job in one story: a family member who cannot be there, a local Runner who can, and a photo that closes the loop. Read the full piece on Find a Grave News.
Sending flowers to a veteran's grave
Every BloomBridge arrangement can be placed at any cemetery in the United States, including national cemeteries, and a small American flag can be added to the order. The Red, White & Blue arrangement is the one families choose most for veterans, and our guide to Memorial Day flowers covers the timing.
