Kristen Allen's first appearance on The Ordinary, Extraordinary Cemetery podcast, April 2021: the promise to her grandmother that started BloomBridge, and how a graveside delivery works.

By Fern1 min read

In April 2021, a few weeks after BloomBridge launched, founder Kristen Allen sat down with Jennie and Dianne of The Ordinary, Extraordinary Cemetery podcast for her first interview about the company.

What the episode covers

  • The promise Kristen made to her grandmother, and how it turned into a business that connects the living with the people they have lost.
  • Why flowers at a grave matter: respect, loyalty, and the sign to anyone passing that a life is still remembered.
  • How a delivery works, from the order to the local Runner to the photo at the headstone.

This is the origin story, told before there was a Runner network to speak of. Listen to Episode 28 on the show's site (about 31 minutes).
